This "pseudofluorogenic" property has been utilized for protein determination by capillary electrophoresis with diode laser-induced fluorescence detection.1 Cardiogreen has been used to resolve several labeled proteins including: human serum albumin, ribonuclease A, transferrin, and cytochrome c.
