synthetic peptide corresponding to the N-terminus of human orexin A (amino acids 1-17 with disulfide bridge between cysteines 6-12 and 7-14 and C-terminally added Gly-Lys), conjugated to KLH. This sequence is identical in mouse and rat orexin A and is different from the orexin B sequence.
